Chapter Twelve
Rashaan
My mind blacked out as soon as Kaylee said that something happened to Ashanti and the baby. A lady was coming out of the double doors, so I went running back there. I was looking in every room for Ashanti.
“Sir, can I help you?” I heard someone calling from behind me.
I turned around and saw Tymeeka and Ashanti’s step-father, Shon, standing behind the nurse.
“Meeka, please tell me my son is good?”
“He didn’t make it,” she broke down crying on Shon’s shoulders.
I turned around and punched the wall. My fist went through it.
“What the fuck happened?” I yelled out to noone in particular.
“I don’t know, no one knows. She delivered a stillborn.” Meeka told me in between heavy sobs.
“Ashanti killed my grandbaby,” her mother came out of the room crying.
“What you mean?” I turned and asked her.
“Why are you here?” She asked looking at me in disgust.
“No disrespect Pam, but whatever Ashanti told you about me I’m okay with. She’s going to make me out to be the bad guy, and you’re going to believe her cause that’s your daughter and again, I’m okay with that. All I wanna know is what happened to my son,” I said politely. I was trying to be nice, but my patience was running thin, and I was getting ready to snap on everybody in a minute.
“I’m going to ask you nicely to leave Rashaan.” She stood in front of me and demanded.
“Tell Ashanti that I will be back and I want some fucking answers. This won’t end well. I can promise y’all that much!” I threatened before turning around and going back out to the lobby. I sat down on the hard wood chair and rubbed my hands over my face. I couldn’t understand what happened to my seed. The fact that no one was telling me what was going on had me ready to go back there and murk every one of them until I got the answers that I needed and deserved.
“Babe, you okay? Is the baby okay?” Kaylee asked taking a seat next to me. I just looked up at her. I was starting to have doubts. Just maybe if I didn’t start fucking with Kaylee I would still be with Ashanti and my seed wouldn’t have been fucking dead. I quickly pushed those thoughts out the back of my mind. I loved the shit out of Kaylee. I was bugging.
“He’s dead,” I said with little to no emotion.
“Oh, my God Rashaan, I’m so sorry. As much as I don’t care for Ashanti I don’t wish this on anyone,” she said with tears falling from her face. Seeing her cry and show compassion for me let me know the love me and her shared was real.
“I’m good thanks, how’s Britt and the baby?” I asked to change the subject. I wasn’t in the mood to talk about the situation.
“They’re okay. You wanna see your Godson?” She asked while wiping the tears from her face.
“Nah, I’ma see them when they come home.
